Winter Warming Tea Tips

There is nothing better than a soothing cup of herbal tea during the winter months. Whether it's first thing in the morning, after meals or at night when winding down - we are big fans of herbal teas and the way they warm and soothe us. 

In this blog we share some of our favourite herbal teas, and we did some research to find some of the benefits of drinking these winter warmers. 

Peppermint 

According to BBC Good Food, some of the biggest benefits of peppermint tea are that it may ease bloating and indigestion, it's caffeine free so drinking before bed isn't going to hinder sleep and the steam from the tea may also helped with a block nose.  Read more here

Rosehip 

Along with the refreshing fruity taste, rosehip tea is meant to be good for us. On the Dilmah tea website, they state that rosehip tea is soothing for the stomach and it has been known to be used to support gut issues. Read more here. Rosehip tea is also said to be rich in antioxidants to support the immune system.   

Lemon & Ginger 

This popular combination of soothing lemon and ginger is a joy to drink. There is nothing better than the refreshing taste of lemon mixed with the warming properties of ginger.  According to Madura Tea, lemon and ginger tea may contain high levels of vitamin C to boost the immune system. Jasmine 

We love the gently aromatic taste of jasmine tea. It is warming and very comforting. According to Sencha Tea Bar, Jasmine tea has many benefits including boosting energy, relieving stress and benefitting the skin. Read more here

We are not medical experts, so always do your own research around herbal teas and their benefits, but these are just some of our favourites.
