As one year closes and another one begins it is only natural to reflect on the year that was and think about what you want to take in or leave behind in the new year. It's a common time to set goals and intentions for the new year.
When we talk about manifestation and setting intentions it might be easy to become overwhelmed and not know where to start. When really, it is quite simple. It's about sitting with yourself to reflect on what is working, and what you want to create for your life going forward.
Writing out something can be the first step to it becoming a reality. it also helps you to remain focused. Here are some tips to help you get started!
- If you aren't quite sure what you want, think about how you want to feel. Do you want to feel more calm, energetic or focused? Setting this kind of intention will help you begin to explore what you might need to do to feel better. Whether it's more journaling, meditation or exercise for example.
- Split your intentions into different areas of life, like work, home, health etc. Splitting up your goals into these areas and setting intentions around those areas give you the building blocks to start breaking down your goals. It might also help to split them up between shorter term and longer term goals.
- Then it's time to map out your vision! Create a vision board to map out your intentions. You can create your own pin board with magazine images, or you can use Pinterest or write something out.
- Once you set your intentions you can then go about looking at the behaviours and actions to help you align and move towards the things you want to feel and achieve.
